Len PappParticipantScott,
We have encountered this situation the last couple of years during our hospital inspection. We actually had an office set up in the exit stairwell for patient care. We also had nurses stations set up at the end of each corridor. We do not permit and occupancy in the hospital corridors.
Len PappParticipantRob,
We try and use the worst case scernario each year based on # of staff responding and the total amount of residents to be relocated. We do use day staff and allow proxies to simulate a night time situation. We stress to the owners/operators that all supervisory staff participate in monthly fire drills. Over the last 3 years I eblieve we have only failed a handful of fire drills because of time or because they didn’t follow their reposnsibility in conformance with the approved fire drill scenerio.Len
