Upon graduation from the Fire Protection Engineering Technology program at Seneca College in 1994 Len Papp began his fire protection career with Trow Consulting Engineers (now exp.) then moved on to Life Safety Systems.    In 1997, Len started his fire service career with the Brampton Fire & Emergency Services as a fire prevention officer, rising through the ranks to the position of Assistant Division Chief, Fire Prevention.    In September 2018 he accepted the Chief Fire Prevention Officer position with the St. Catharines Fire Services.

Academically, Len is presently completing the Fire Services Executive Management program through Humber College and has a Master of Public Administration Management degree from Dalhousie University, in Halifax Nova Scotia.

Currently he is involved in several different national and Institutional committees, including the Canadian Standards Association, JB 130 Portable Fuel Tanks & Containers, and the Seneca College Program Advisory Committee (PAC).

Len also is an adjunct instructor with the OFMEM and part time instructor with Dalhousie University in the Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development.
