Caledon Fire and Emergency Services

Scott has been employed with Caledon Fire & Emergency Services for nine (9) years. He is currently Acting CFPO and is responsible for plans examinations, new construction inspections, fire code inspections, fire investigations , TAPP-C and public education. He holds certifications for NPFA 1031 Level I and II, 1035 Level I and II, NFPA 1033, NFPA 1041 Level I and II, NFPA 1001, PIO and BCIN general legal/fire protection/building services/HVAC.

Scott was elected for two(2) terms as the President for Chapter 6 before stepping down after four (4) years to pursue a position with the Provincial Executive. He is involved with the Labour Management Committee at his workplace and also member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. Scott also is an adjunct instructor with the OFMEM and Part Time Professor with Seneca College where he has taught fire codes/retrofit and fire investigations.

Scott has previous experience as a fire prevention officer with the world’s largest nuclear power generating station (Bruce Power), and as a sprinkler designer with a popular GTA sprinkler design company. Scott also graduated from Seneca’s three (3) year Fire Protection Engineering Technology with honors and furthermore holds a mechanical engineering technician diploma from Fanshawe College. He also has many years of experience in building construction and contracting.
