We at Toronto Pearson Airport use Firehouse. It’s synced to the Firehouse Inspector app on an ipad for field inspections. When it works, the software is fine, but we’ve found it’s incredibly buggy! It’s time consuming with the added step of having to book inspections on your desktop then syncing your ipad with fingers crossed that it actually works (oftentimes it doesn’t and we’re forced to take at least 45 minutes to do a “clear push all”). Firehouse tech support, if there’s anyone even available when you need them, sometimes takes hours to work through the issue. We’ll be exploring the option to use MS Surfaces in the field so we can work directly off the Firehouse software to eliminate the app syncing issue. The desktop software itself is very slow and tedious to enter data. I would welcome the opportunity to converse with anyone whose IT department has developed their own custom inspection “software”…
