ParticipantDavid, you can find lots of policies regarding smudging online particularly University or Colleges. I have some links and documents i can send you if you want. We do spiritual smudging at home and although it does produce significant smoke, I haven’t set off any alarms (yes, they do work!). Like I said, there is lots online and they are pretty much all the same. We have a fairly large Metis and First Nations population so smudging is something that goes on all the time. Sorry I do not have any first hand experience with Agni practices.

ParticipantIn the new Amendment 1 of the CAN/ULC S524 06 from February 2011 section 4.7.2 the amended code states the following ” Visible signal devices used to advise occupants that a fire emergency exists shall be turned off automatically when audible signals are silenced and shall be turned on automatically when audible signals are reactivated”
