The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management (OFMEM) is inviting public comment on proposed changes to the Ontario Fire Code related to new installation, maintenance and replacement requirements for carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in existing residential occupancies, and revised testing, maintenance and replacement requirements for smoke alarms.
