We received the sad message below from Brampton Fire and Emergency Services.

Condolences from the OMFPOA and our members to the family of Assistant Division Chief Madelaine Crevier, and Brampton Fire and Emergency Services.

It is with a heavy heart that I must convey the news of the passing of Assistant Division Chief Madelaine (Maddie) Crevier who fought a valiant and courageous battle against cancer.

At the wish of Maddie’s partner Daryl Macdonald, he is requesting that this notification to the Fire Department  be sent from myself.

Maddie was a spirited and passionate woman who cared deeply for her fellow BFES teammates and was proud to be a part of the fire service. This news will have a profound impact on many of us throughout the department that worked closely with her.

Please keep Maddie’s family in your thoughts and prayers and I ask at this time we respect their privacy as they take the next couple of days to process their loss.   We encourage you to access any and all mental health supports provided through our Healthy Minds Network.

Together we will honour Maddie’s memory by continuing her mission of service and dedication to our community.

Sincerely,

Chantelle Cosgrove (she/her/hers)

Division Chief, Fire Prevention
