Recorded Version of Training Session – Virtual Fire Safety: Making Your Public Education Programs Virtual

 On March 4, 2021, the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) hosted a virtual training session called “Virtual Fire Safety: Making Your Public Education Programs Virtual.”

Three hundred and seventy-two public fire safety educators attended. There were attendees from:

  • every part of Ontario,
  • provinces and territories across Canada, including Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, the Yukon, and representatives from the Canadian government,
  • American states, including Rhode Island, Washington D.C., Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and Alaska, and
  • one individual from Germany.

A special thank you to Margo Tennant and Michelle John from Brampton Fire and Emergency Services, and Alex Freeman from Markham Fire and Emergency Services for sharing their experiences, insights, expertise, and knowledge about their virtual programs during the session. Also, a big thank you to everyone who attended.
