Please see the following submission from Oakville Fire Department.  Thank you for sharing your program with your colleagues at OMFPOA.

Submitted by:  Gary Laframboise

I wanted to share with the OMFPOA an initiative that Oakville Fire has been working on with a community partner Helicopix Inc.  OFD has created and produced a series of multi-lingual videos to  enhance our level of service to the community through fire safety education that specifically targets our youths.

The launch of the videos will coincide with this years spring break for children the week of April 12th.  The videos will be available on YouTube at our Oakville Public Library, Town of Oakville and Parks and Culture websites.  I have attached the links for each of the videos.

Our staff did a phenomenal job in the videos.  Languages selected was based on the linguistic capabilities of our firefighters and clearly represents the diversity of the fire service.   The English version with Jeffrey Cheng has also been completed in ASL.  If you require any further information about these videos please don’t hesitate to give me a call.
