FireSmart Canada is calling on Canadians to name the new FireSmart Fox mascot! To help connect with community members, FireSmart has enlisted a new team member – a fun, fictional fox that will become part of FireSmart messages, activities and events.

The FireSmart Fox is an effective messenger for FireSmart because of its characteristics that include alertness, adaptability, intelligence and community mindedness. The job of the FireSmart Fox is to educate the public about how to apply FireSmart principles to their homes, properties and neighbourhoods to increase resilience to wildfire.

To suggest a name for the FireSmart Fox, visit www.firesmartfox.ca and fill in the form, or post your entry under #FireSmartFox on Instagram or Twitter. The contest runs until Nov. 6. The winner receives a $150 Parks Canada gift card, or $150 to spend locally on products to help FireSmart homes and properties.

Thank you!
