Attention All OMFPOA Members,

Each year for the Symposium a magazine gets published on behalf of the OMFPOA. The magazine publisher typically solicits all the advertising that goes into the magazine and the Symposium host prepares content. The advertising that goes into the magazine is pretty broad in terms of industries and locations contacted. Potential advertisers are advised that the fees collected in part support the initiatives of the OMFPOA. The OMFPOA Executive along with Chapter 4 were notified that the magazine publisher, First Response Publications Ontario, has recently filed for bankruptcy.

In years past, we have received inquiries directly and through our member departments of the validity of companies soliciting advertising on behalf of the OMFPOA and have always confirmed this is a legitimate practice.

The reason we are notifying you of this development is so our member departments are aware this company is no longer seeking advertisements for the magazine on behalf of the OMFPOA. Should you become aware of this business, or any business for that matter, soliciting advertising of donations on behalf of the OMFPOA, please notify a member of the Executive as soon as possible.

We thank you for your attention with regards to this matter.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Executive.
