Hydrostatic tests are indicated right on the extinguishers by means of a ‘sticker’ (usually foil or something that is difficult to remove). Generally no need for documents as you can read the H Test date right off the extinguisher and can also check the date on the VSC (Verification of Service Collar). Both the stickers and the VSCs are required as part of NFPA 10.
