Brian has been a dedicated member of the Trent Hills Fire Department since 2005, initially serving as a volunteer firefighter before being hired as the first full-time Fire Prevention Officer in 2018. He holds multiple certifications from the Ontario Fire College, including Fire Prevention Officer, Fire Investigator, Public Information Officer, Fire & Life Safety Educator, and Fire Service Instructor. In 2023, he earned his Fire Service Executive Management certificate from Humber College.

In addition to his role at the fire department, Brian chairs the Northumberland County Fire Prevention Officers Association and OMFPOA Chapter 13.

Outside of work, he’s an avid golfer who has spent the last five years trying to conquer his persistent golf slice—always getting close, but the dreaded slice keeps making a comeback!
