      Need some help regarding visible signal devices and what should happen when the fire alarm control panel has silenced the audible signal devices?
      We have a facility in town that when the signal silence function on the fire alarm control panel is used the visible devices continue to flash. The contractor has stated that this is the way that most fire departments want the visible devices to operate.
      I have checked CAN/ULC-S524 standard regarding the installation of fire alarm systems and I have been unable to find any reference to that the visible devices should continue to operate even when the signal silence switch has been used.
      Does anyone know if the devised should continue to flash or not?
