Good morning,

We have a guideline that requires me to sign out and note the location(s) and expected time of return, as well as to notify another staff member(s) where I will be. If I am not back shortly after the time I think I will be I get a phone call, if staff don’t reach me on the phone I get called on my portable radio, if that doesn’t reach me it sends up red flags and staff/OPP will attend.

For inspections I use full face mask PAPR, full bunker gear, or Tyvek suit, depending upon the situation. The firefighter that assists me doing investigations wears SCBA and full bunker gear.
