Has anyone had any schools change their fire drill protocol for the return-to-school?

Different exits or staggered exiting?  My school boards have reached out and have been asked what we recommend.

Our schools are relatively small with 340 and 170 students in 2 elementary and 300 in 1 high school.

      Thanks.

      Hi Andrew,

I’m aware that the OFMEM is working on some guidance for the fire service on this.  Stay tuned.

      Good afternoon Andrew,

York Region Fire Prevention Officers Association – have a School Board Committee, currently working with the Health and Safety representative for York Region School Board , on school fire drills and Alcohol based hand  sanitizers ABHS.

You may wish to reach out the YRFPOA president Darren Lynch, from Vaughan Fire and Rescue.

      Respectfully,

      Jackie

Great news, the OMFEM Directive is finally out.  It’s shared in the news feed of this website.

Have a great day and stay safe everyone.

      Del
