Ben Trendle has been a member of the fire service for 15 years serving as a Volunteer Firefighter, Emergency Communicator, Fire Prevention Officer, Captain of Fire Prevention and currently serves as Chief Fire Prevention Officer with the Niagara Falls Fire Department. Ben is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Certified Fire & Life Safety Educator, Certified Fire Prevention Officer and a Building Inspector.

A firm believer in the three lines of defense: Public Education, Prevention and Emergency Response, Ben believes that striking the right balance between these three lines in the delivery of fire protection services will greatly improve the safety of the residents of Ontario.

Ben has served as Director on the Executive of the OMFPOA for two years now and is proud to be part of such a dedicated hardworking team that strives to enhance the field of Fire Prevention and Public Education for the Ontario Fire Service.
