10:25 am – 11:30 am Human Trafficking Awareness
Shelly Prendergast has been employed with Victim Services of Brant for the past 8 years. Victim Services provides support to victims or crime and tragic circumstances in Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations of the Grand River. Shelly is the dedicated support worker for those affected by Human Trafficking.

Natalie Laing in her 30th year of policing with the Brantford Police Service, currently assigned as a Detective with the Criminal Intelligence Unit.
The unit deals with criminal organized crime groups, collecting intelligence information and identifying threats. One of her portfolios is human trafficking.
Current project involves writing and receiving a grant involving identifying and rescuing victims of human trafficking and those vulnerable to become victims of human trafficking and delivering educational and awareness training.
