      Good afternoon,

With the introduction of the OBC requirements for Building Departments to notify Fire Departments of new lightweight commercial construction, how are departments going to track this information? Additionally, are there departments that currently track residential lightweight construction and if so, what the are challenges faced?

we created a simple excel spreadsheet with all the information provided by the building dept. the list gets updated any time a permit is issued and distributed to our dispatch center and all our senior officers.

      Good Morning,

We are having our building department send the information to Fire Prevention and Dispatch, each division will put a message on their system – currently we are using 2 different systems.
