A question was recently posed to me regarding the rules and requirements for storing flammable or combustible fuels or fuel-containing equipment in temporary structures, namely sea-cans or similar metal containers, kept outdoors. These units are sometimes used by contractors on construction sites to store tools, lawnmowers or jerry cans containing small quantities or primarily diesel or gasoline.

Please let me know how your Fire Department handles these “buildings”.
