      Greater Sudbury Fire Services is looking at updating our process pertaining to Fire Prevention Officer / Fire Inspector Safety during inspections.    I’m just wondering how other departments ensure FPO/Inspector safety during inspection?   Does anyone have SOG/P&P or Process pertaining to FPO safety during inspections?   Do the FPO’s/Inspectors carry portable radios with them during inspections?  Do FPO’s inform the Communication Division of their locations during inspections?

      Any information that you may be able to provide would be greatly approached!    I’ll be happy to share our finished SOG once it has been finalized, if you would like a copy of our final draft, just let me know and I’ll send it your way.
