Has anyone had any issues dealing with fire alarm activations as the result of smoke from Houkahs or other devices used properly or as intended?

With have been responding to repeated alarms, which are not really “false” alarms since the systems operated properly. They aren’t false either since using the device indoors is permitted.

With have discussed this with our local health department and they have identified that it is not a smoking issue under the legislation as “no smoking” only applies to tobacco products. Allegedly hookahs do not use tobacco products.

This could also be a problem with e-cigarettes as well as I understand it.

Have any of you run into this type of situation and if so, how have you dealt with it?
