  Not sure if this is old news but thought it may have value in sharing:
  
  *9.8 homes, who require an ESA General Inspection (subsection 9.8.6), automatically qualify for the “ElecCheck Program” https://www.eleccheck.ca/ who will perform this service at the cost of $399. As you can see in the photo below, the website refers directly to Ontario Reg 213/07 for Section 9.8 and the work is performed by a qualified Inspector from the Electrical Safety Authority.
