Hi Ben… We looked at NFPA 25 which seems to fit but no mention of dry hydrant and my understanding is they are different from dry barrel hydrants which are attached to a municipal supply.  The only reference to dry hydrants I can find in the code is for tire storage yards which would not apply to this address.  We have been in discussion with a local supplier and he wants 1142 to be applied… again this reference is only for tire storage yards so….  We might be over analyzing this issue!
